The Middle Ages as you’ve never read about them before.

Terror has taken hold of the remote village where the monk Anselmo is forced to take refuge with his companion Gregorio to escape a snowstorm. A terror that materialises in the jaws of wolves born of darkness. Wolves that leave horribly mangled corpses and seem to be guided by an intelligent mind. Is it just the instinct of these predators or is there something else, an unmentionable reality?

An uncontrollable hatred comes from the depths of time. And Anselmo finds himself forced to carry out his investigations in a world where everyone, in one way or another, is guilty of an ancient tragedy that saw a young woman and her child die horribly in the flames. And where no one deserves pity or forgiveness.
