The Middle Ages as you’ve never read about them before.

Anselmo, with his young companion Gregorio, is once again on a mission on behalf of his order and, summoned by the abbot, he travels to an isolated monastery built on the ruins of an ancient city devoted to the worship of blasphemous and bloodthirsty deities. But once again, he cannot imagine what awaits him. In fact, he finds himself once again forced to investigate a series of brutal murders of clergymen, carried out with such cruelty that it raises suspicions that someone in this sacred place is driven by a deep and long-repressed hatred. And that perhaps the extraordinary celestial events of those days have evoked it.

The search for the culprit will also be a journey through some of the most terrible pages in the history of medieval heresy. A journey to a place dedicated to the glory of God, but which will also reveal itself to be a place where unsuspected trafficking takes place and unmentionable vices are cultivated.
